
As long as it was created from an actual photo it will be photo real.

Yeah there are plenty photo real filters. It's a bit expensive but seems worth the price. Using my own photos as a base for a texture is producing some good results. I've downloaded the demo now so I'm getting an idea of how it works. There are lot of highly detailed photo real filters out there. What type of wood are you looking for? porous wood or hardwood? What style brick are you looking for? Give some photo references so we can help you a bit better.


It's still a style I'm interested in, but I'm wondering if they'd look different under the right lighting. Can anyone post an example of a filter-forge texture being used in an iray / realistic render? I've looked at quite a few filters on the site, and many of them look more 'painted' than 'photoreal' (I'm looking at the wood and brick architecture filters).
